Academic Departments

Faculty members in the College are recognized for their expertise, their commitment to education, research and service, their contributions to the Utah economy, and their responsibility to provide a work force of pharmacists and pharmaceutical and biomedical scientists for Utah and the nation.

In addition to these academic departments, there are several centers and programs within the College that support the academic mission and provide educational opportunities. These include the Anticonvulsant Drug Development Program, the Center for Controlled Chemical Delivery, the Utah Poison Control Center, the Center for Human Toxicology, the Utah Addiction Center, the Cell Signaling Center, the Center for Therapeutic Biomaterials, the Pharmacotherapy Outcomes Research Center, and the Pediatric Pharmacotherapy Program. The Drug Information Center, under the aegis of the University Hospital Department of Pharmacy Services, also provides educational and research opportunities for students.
