2012 Admissions Instructions for PharmCAS and Graduate School
PharmCAS
You must apply to the College of Pharmacy for admission to the College of Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy Program through PharmCAS. Please read and carefully follow the instructions in the section called, Before You Apply on the PharmCAS website before beginning your application.
Your online PharmCAS application must be completed and submitted by December 1, 2012. Completed online applications will be accepted anytime after August 1, 2012. The applicant is solely responsible for completing all aspects of the online application and submitting all additional documents. Requests for delinquent sections will not be made by the Admissions Office. Online applications not submitted to PharmCAS by December 1, 2012 will not be reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Decisions regarding final selections will be made before April 1, 2012.
Please note: Your initial application documentation needs to be sent to PharmCAS. It should NOT be sent directly to the College of Pharmacy.
If your Fall semester 2012 grades are not listed on the transcripts initially sent to PharmCAS, please submit an updated transcript directly to the College of Pharmacy immediately following the end of the semester. The College of Pharmacy Admissions Committee needs adequate, accurate information concerning the academic records as well as the career and personal motivations of applicants to facilitate the selection of the most qualified students. Before completing the application, please read the directions carefully. Your ability to adhere to the admission procedures is a factor in the selection process.
GRADUATE SCHOOL
A separate or “Supplemental” application directly to the University of Utah Graduate School is required, for an additional fee, and must be submitted by December 1, 2012. Official documentation required for this application needs to be sent directly to the Graduate School Admissions Office, NOT to the College of Pharmacy. Questions regarding your Graduate School application should be directed to Graduate School Admissions.
