Job Description
 

Oversees daily operations of the Professional Experiential Education Program

  • Develops policies and procedures for PEP program under supervision of the PEP Director
  • Updates and maintains the Student and Preceptor Manuals
  • Maintains webpage for PEP program
  • Ensures affiliation agreements are in place for all sites
  • Coordinates site visits and schedules as needed
  • Develops clerkship site evaluation report for PEP Advisory Committee
  • Tracks quality improvement measures for sites based on PEP Advisory Committee Recommendation
  • Runs reports to identify trends in site visits and identify problems
  • Reviews evaluations after each block to identify issues (spot check)
  • Maintains compliance documents for preceptors (annual CE, license, etc)
  • Facilitates standardizing objectives and pedagogical framework for Experiential Education (if background in education)
  • Recruits and trains preceptors
  • Supervises PEP academic advising coordinator(s)
  • Supports PEP Advisory Committee
  • Processes housing reimbursements
  • Processes preceptor and site invoices for payment
  • Plans logistics of preceptor development programs
  • Other duties as assigned by PEP Director
