Admission to the Doctor of Pharmacy Program - 2009 ADMISSIONS INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANT NOTICE: Starting with year 2007 applications, the College will NO
LONGER be accepting January PCAT scores for applicants applying the same year (January
2009 PCAT scores will not be accepted for 2009 applications). January
PCAT score results do not arrive in time to be processed before the application deadline. The last PCAT test which will be accepted for 2009 applicants
will be the October 2008 PCAT. For
details on PCAT registration deadlines please see the Harcourt Assessment,
Inc. web site.
The College of Pharmacy Admissions Committee must have adequate, accurate information concerning the academic records as well as the career and personal motivations of applicants to facilitate the selection of the most qualified students. Before completing the application, please read the directions carefully. Your ability to adhere to the admission procedures is a factor in the selection process. 1. You must apply to the College of Pharmacy for admission
to the College of Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy Program through PharmCAS. Please read and carefully follow the
instructions in the section
called, Before You Apply on the PharmCAS website before beginning your
application. Application
documentation should be sent through PharmCAS,
and NOT directly to the University
of Utah College of Pharmacy.
2. Equivalency of pre-professional courses completed at colleges
or universities outside the state of
Utah must be evaluated by the College of Pharmacy Associate Dean for
Academic Affairs Office before January 5, 2009. Submit complete course
descriptions from the institution's general catalog, along with a request to
evaluate for equivalency, to the College of Pharmacy prior to January 5, 2009. Courses accepted by the University of
Utah are not automatically accepted by the College of Pharmacy in fulfillment
of pharmacy pre-requisites.
