Anne Gibson Receives Renewal of AFPE Pre-Doctoral Fellowship

Anne Gibson, a fourth year PhD candidate in the Neuroscience Program, Received Renewal of her AFPE Pre-Doctoral Fellowship. This award is a 2018-2019 renewal of Gibson's AFPE Pre-Doctoral Fellowship in Pharmaceutical Sciences, that she received for the 2017-2018 academic year. The fellowship is not only an impressive accolade, but has been used to support Gibson's dissertation research. The application process assessed applicants' research experience, future career objectives, and involvement in the scientific community. According to AFPE, "The mission of the American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education (AFPE) is to advance and support pharmaceutical sciences education at U.S. schools and colleges of pharmacy". Gibson currently works in Dr. Kristen Keefe's lab, where she is studying how methamphetamine neurotoxicity affects striatal function. Fantastic work Anne!
