#5 in New NIH Ranking

The College of Pharmacy's NIH Funding ranking has moved up to #5 in 2015. This is the 41st consecutive year ranking among the top ten colleges of pharmacy.

The number of colleges and schools of pharmacy reporting extramural research funding rose to 100 this year. The total extramural research funding reported for FY15 was $552,518,233 - an increase of 17% as compared with FY14 totals. Funding in all three types of research awards analyzed (NIH, Other Federal, and Non-Federal) rose in FY15, as did the total number of faculty receiving extramural research funding. These findings demonstrate a continued pattern of growth in research activities that is ongoing in the colleges and schools of pharmacy. In turn, these results bode well for the continued growth in graduate and postdoctoral education, including all areas of basic, clinical and translational research in the academic pharmacy community.
