Welcome Dr. KC Mei

Please join the Department of Molecular Pharmaceutics in welcoming Dr. Kuo-Ching (KC) Mei, Assistant Professor in Molecular Pharmaceutics. Dr. Mei joins from the State University of New York at Binghamton, where he was a tenure-track assistant professor of pharmaceutical sciences. His research focuses on the use of RNA-delivering lipid nanoparticles to induce immune tolerance for overcoming immunogenicity barriers in adeno-associated viral gene delivery, as well as to promote immunogenic responses for cancer vaccine development.

Prior to that, Dr. Mei received postdoctoral training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and at the University of California, Los Angeles. He received his Ph.D. in pharmaceutical science at King’s College, University of London, United Kingdom, and BSc in Pharmacy from Taipei Medical University. Dr. Mei is the recipient of the National Institutes of Health Maximizing Investigators' Research Award (MIRA) for Early-Stage Investigators (R35, NIGMS). He has authored over thirty peer-reviewed publications and taught courses in PharmD and PhD programs. 

His office and lab are located on the second floor of Skaggs Research Institute. We are thrilled to have him join us!
