Congratulations to Molecular Pharmaceutics PhD student Bryce Wallis for receiving a Tech Discovery Micro Grant from the University of Utah Technology Licensing Office! The TLO/UVH Tech Discovery MicroGrants program provides seed funding to help University of Utah researchers test innovative ideas and gather preliminary data for larger grant applications.
Bryce’s project aims to develop two non-hormonal vaginal gels for 1) contraception and 2) conception that function as sexual lubricants. This micro-grant will allow Bryce and her collaborators to build and test lab prototypes. If successful, these results will position us for larger NIH and private grants, clinical trials, and eventually, real products.
Bryce is grateful to her PIs Drs. David Turok and Jessica Sanders (ASCENT Center), and collaborators Dr. Venkata Yellepeddi (Pediatric Pharmacology) and Dr. Jessica Kramer (Biomedical Engineering), the Andrology Laboratory, and The Doman Innovation Studio.
Congratulations Bryce!
