Congratulations to Molecular Pharmaceutics PhD student Prince Minkah from the Utah Rhinology & Oncology Care (UROC) Innovations Lab on receiving a Tech Discovery Micro Grant from the Technology Licensing Office at the University of Utah!
The TLO/UVH Tech Discovery MicroGrants program provides critical seed funding to support innovative research, enabling investigators to test high-impact ideas and generate preliminary data for larger, competitive grant applications.
Prince’s project, “Targeted Delivery of Methylselenocysteine to Overcome Therapy Resistance in Solid Tumors,” focuses on developing a novel hyaluronic acid–based delivery platform to enhance tumor targeting, improve therapeutic efficacy, and reduce systemic toxicity of selenium-based compounds. By addressing key mechanisms of therapy resistance, this work has strong potential to advance more effective and safer cancer treatments.
This achievement reflects Prince's dedication and innovation and the mentorship and support from the UROC Lab, the Department of Molecular Pharmaceutics, and The Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Utah. Thank you to the Technology Licensing Office for investing in early-stage discoveries that drive translational impact!
