Career Pathway Roundtable: August 27 | 5 – 7 PM | In-Person
- Overview: During this workshop, P3 students will explore a variety of post-graduation career pathways, including residencies, fellowships, and direct employment opportunities. Students will begin evaluating which pathway best aligns with their professional goals and learn about the steps required to successfully pursue their chosen career path.
- Role: We are seeking recent graduates who pursued a residency, fellowship, or employment immediately after graduation to share their experiences, provide guidance, and answer students’ questions.
Post-Grad Position Search Workshop: September 3 | 6 – 7 PM | In-Person
- Overview: This workshop will help P4 students understand the process of pursuing their desired post-graduation opportunity, whether that involves a residency, fellowship, or employment. Participants will gain practical insights into navigating the application and selection process.
- Role: We are seeking residency program directors, fellowship directors, and hiring managers to facilitate small-group discussions focused on residency, fellowship, and employment opportunities.
CV/Resume and LOI/Cover Letter Workshop: September 17 | 5 – 7 PM | In-Person
- Overview: During this interactive workshop, P4 students will receive individualized feedback on their CV/resume and their LOI/cover letter in preparation for upcoming residency, fellowship, and job applications. Students will spend one hour refining their CV or resume and one hour strengthening their written application materials.
- Role: We are seeking volunteers to provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students strengthen their CVs/resumes and LOIs/cover letters.
Career Speed Dating Workshop: October 22 | 5 – 7 PM | Virtual
- Overview: During this workshop, P3 students will explore a variety of career pathways by participating in breakout sessions with various pharmacy professionals.
- Role: Volunteers will be divided into breakout rooms based on their practice area (i.e. emergency medicine, ambulatory care, community pharmacy, etc.). Students will move between breakout rooms and volunteers will share information and answer questions about their role.
Mock Interview Workshop #1: November 5 | 5 – 7 PM | In-Person and Virtual
Mock Interview Workshop #2: November 19 | 5 – 7 PM | In-Person and Virtual
Extra Practice Workshop: December 10 | 5:30 – 6:30 PM | Virtual
- Overview: Each P4 student is required to participate in one 1-hour mock interview session where they will participate in two 25-minute mock interviews (one virtual and one in-person). Each interview is structured to include 15–20 minutes of questions followed by 5–10 minutes of immediate feedback. We are also offering an additional mock interview workshop in December for students seeking extra practice.
- Role: We are looking for individuals with experience interviewing candidates who can provide constructive feedback on students' interview skills. Volunteers will be provided a list of potential questions and a feedback form.
