Research Interests

  • Her research interests are in the area of nephrology, including management of anemia of chronic kidney disease and measures of kidney function for drug dosing
  • Current projects include an analysis of data from the VA system to compare drug dosing when using the CKD-EPI, MDRD, and Cockcroft-Gault equations

Heather Nyman, PharmD, BCPS is an Associate Professor (Clinical) and Assistant Dean, Academic Culture and Community for the College of Pharmacy. She received a B.S. degree in chemistry from Brigham Young University and a PharmD degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Dr. Nyman's primary teaching interest in both the didactic and experiential curriculum is in supporting learners in their development of clinical decision-making skills.
