Job Description 

Plans, organizes, directs and controls all aspects pertaining to student service functions of Student Affairs’ internal and external customer service for both students and faculty, human resource and financial management operations pertaining to areas including, but not limited to: PharmD course coordination, academic advising and student needs, scholastic standards, student organizations, and program development. Acts as a catalyst between Student Affairs Office, its customers and staff to ensure continuity and quality of service and care. 

Responsibilities

  • Forecasts, develops and implements policies and procedures in the areas of customer service, human resources, and budgetary goals and objectives that are consistent with UofU policies
  • Markets and promotes new and existing programs and services to internal and external customers
  • Serves as staff for the College’s Learning and Teaching, Student Advisory and Student Mentoring Committees to establish customer service standards and administrative plans and policies
  • Assists in the development and function of the College’s inclusive excellence efforts by supporting the Director of Diversity and working with the Associate Vice President for Health Equity and Inclusion and serves as staff for the College’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee
  • Chairs Scholastic Standards Committee
  • Chairs task forces for the College of Pharmacy Website and College of Pharmacy Policy
  • Facilitates cooperative and collaborative community and institutional relationships
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by analyzing complaints, concerns and suggestions and providing appropriate follow through
  • Develops Student Affairs strategies consistent with the assigned Student Affairs continuous quality improvement program
  • Ensures competency of staff through the development and/or presentation  of educational programs and through on going staff performance evaluations
  • Plans teambuilding activities for Student Affairs 
  • Develops and administers Student Affairs budget
  • May be required to fulfill College or department teaching/research/grading assignments
  • Plans and schedules PharmD course offerings
  • Manages calendar booking for Astra events at the Health Sciences Education Building for Faculty, Staff, and Students.
  • Advises students in club/association leadership roles and assists with club/association events, marketing, and coordination
  • Director of Graduate Studies (DoGS) Representative to The Graduate School for the PharmD program
