The Department of Molecular Pharmaceutics faculty and their lab members occupy space in the Skaggs Research Institute (SRI), the old Skaggs Hall, Biomedical Polymers Research Building (BPRB) and the Sorenson Molecular Biotechnology Building (SMBB). These buildings are all proximal to the Health Sciences Center and Health Sciences Library. SMBB is also adjacent to the College of Engineering. BPRB houses the Center for Controlled Chemical Delivery. SRI houses the Cell Sheet Tissue Engineering Center and SMBB houses the Utah Center for Nanomedicine.
All department space is well equipped for graduate research containing facilities for chemical synthesis, molecular biology, protein chemistry, cell culture, and small animal surgery. The Department also possesses multiple cold rooms, darkrooms, modern computing facilities, several shared instrument rooms, offices, and conference rooms. Graduate students have access to state of the art core facilities at the Health Sciences Core, The Huntsman Cancer Institute and the Utah Nanofab among other facilities on campus.
