Welcome
Introduction to the Bortolato Lab
The main goal of our research program is the development of novel therapeutic agents for neuropsychiatric disorders, including pathological aggression, Tourette syndrome, and addiction. Our preclinical work and related clinical studies are centered on a translational approach that combines behavioral and neurochemical analyses of animal models, clinical investigations, and genetic analyses of patients. This strategy aims to understand the pathophysiological bases of these disorders and develop new pharmacological agents.
