COP Joins U of U Therapeutics Accelerator Hub

College of Pharmacy is Part of the New University of Utah Therapeutics Accelerator Hub

Dear College of Pharmacy Community,

I’m delighted to share news of the creation of a new partnership between the College of Pharmacy, the Huntsman Cancer Institute, and the PIVOT Center.  This new partnership, the University of Utah Therapeutics Accelerator Hub (U2TAH or the Accelerator) will provide world-class expertise and financial resources in support of scientists across campus who are interested in translating their discoveries into new treatments for human diseases.  The Accelerator will be led by David Bearss, a highly respected drug developer who has started numerous biopharmaceutical companies and brought more than 15 therapies to the clinic.

The expertise and resources of U2TAH will help us ensure that the discoveries we make will lead to treatments that directly improve people’s lives.  As a college, I hope we will find many opportunities to work with the Accelerator as we pursue our mission of “bringing new medicines to life.”

Sincerely,

Randy Peterson
