College of Pharmacy Legacy - Reed Jensen
Dr. Reed Jensen, Pharmacist and Class of 1963 Alumnus, had an interesting path to pharmacy school. After getting kicked out of his undergraduate courses for hitting the slopes and steam room too frequently, he served an LDS mission and with a renewed sense of purpose was accepted into the College of Pharmacy as a probationary student.
Since then, Dr. Jensen has been a CoP preceptor, owned a handful of pharmacies, has served on the CoP’s admissions board, and was one of the first people to introduce a computer into their pharmacy. The computer was so large, it needed to be climate controlled in an off-site facility. Dr. Jensen’s favorite aspect of being a pharmacist is “having the knowledge that each day I can help somebody”.
