Alan Abbinanti Places 3rd For The North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference
Alan Abbinanti, a fourth-year pharmacy student at the University Of Utah College Of Pharmacy, recently submitted an abstract on his PharmD project to the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC). Out of the hundreds of submissions from across all of North America, his abstract placed third overall.
NACFC provides a collaborative and educational forum for all CF professionals. The educational elements of the meeting program are targeted to physicians, nurses, research scientists, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, nutritionists, social workers, and pharmacists.
This annual meeting brings together scientists, clinicians, and caregivers from around the world to discuss and share ideas on the latest advances in CF research, care, and drug development and to exchange ideas about ways to improve the health and quality of life for people with CF.
Alan's project describes treatments used at the University Of Utah Hospital to treat blood clots in patients with cystic fibrosis. His work is among some of the first of its kind worldwide and will greatly impact future research and recommendations for the cystic fibrosis population. Congratulations to Alan placing third in North America for his research!
