Congratulations to Jeffrey Mensah, Pharmacology and Toxicology graduate student in the Dr. Karen Wilcox lab for receiving the 2021-2022 Skaggs Graduate Research Fellowship Award. His research seeks to identify possible cortical microcircuit changes of neuronal excitability in both hyperthermia-induced and spontaneous seizures in response to drug treatment with a relevant combination therapy of stiripentol, clobazam and valproic acid using a mouse model of Dravet syndrome.
