Doctor Shreya Goel Received Two HCI Awards & Named as One the "5 For The Fight Cancer Research" Fellows

Dr. Shreya Goel has received two pilot funding awards from HCI. One from the Experimental Therapeutics program. The second from the Breast and Gynecologic Cancers Center. Both awards are for a full year. The research will explore different strategies to improve chemotherapy & immunotherapy responses in refractory breast cancers under image guidance. Her team will collaborate with Dr. Allison Payne from the Department of Radiology & Imaging Sciences on these awards.
Dr. Goel was also named as one the 5 For The Fight Cancer Research Fellows. The three year award offered jointly by the Huntsman Cancer Institute and 5 For The Fight organization will support pediatric cancer research in the Goel lab.
