Friend of Thai Science 2022 Awarded to Dr. Louis R. Barrows
On Friday, November 18, Dr. Lou Barrows was presented the Friend of Thai Science Award for 2022. The ceremony consisted of a formal presentation, discussion for future collaborations and activities, and a tour of Dr. Barrows's research lab inside the College of Pharmacy.
"Every year, the Office of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Royal Thai Embassy, Washington D.C. award two candidates who have made great contributions to the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics community to which benefit Thailand and humanity for the morale and encouragement of such people," ohesdc.org.
"I am honored to receive the Friend of Thai Science Award, 2022. I appreciate that there might not have been many candidates coming out of the COVID shut-downs, but I am honored nevertheless. I look forward to the growth of our collaborative projects, closer ties between the University of Utah and the Prince of Songkla University, and closer ties between the USA and the Kingdom of Thailand overall," said Barrows.
