Dr. Abby Pulsipher Awarded VPR SOM Seed Grant Funding

Congratulations to Dr. Abby Pulsipher (Research Assistant Professor, Molecular Pharmaceutics, Assistant Professor Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery) on her Research Incentive Seed Grant “Controlled Delivery of Synthetic Glycosaminoglycans as Adjuvant Therapy for Head and Neck Cancer,” which was funded by the Vice President for Research and School of Medicine at the University of Utah!

The objective of this proposal is to synthesize, formulate, and screen new potential agents for anti-tumor activity in preclinical models of locally advanced and metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.

Dr. Pulsipher will be working with Co-PIs Hamid Ghandehari, PhD (Molecular Pharmaceutics) Rich Cannon, MD (Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery), and Kristine Smith, MD (Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery). This is Dr. Pulsipher’s first awarded grant at the University of Utah.
