Dr. Carol Lim honored as College of Pharmacy P1 Teacher of the Year and College of Pharmacy Outstanding Teacher of the Year
A sincere congratulations to Dr. Carol Lim for being honored as both College of Pharmacy P1 Teacher of the Year (voted on by first year PharmD students) and the College of Pharmacy Outstanding Teacher of the Year (overall teaching award voted for by students in the P1-P4 years)!
Each cohort voted for their own Teacher of the Year, and then from those four winners the entire PharmD student body voted for the overall the College of Pharmacy Outstanding Teacher of the Year.
Highlights from her nomination for College of Pharmacy P1 Teacher of the Year included:
“Dr. Lim was an excellent example of what I hope to accomplish. She cares deeply about her students and is willing to help in any way possible. There were times when I felt confused about topics, and she was more than willing to help me in and out of class. No matter the time, she was willing to help anyone of us. Dr. Lim was an excellent example and representation for the University of Utah College of Pharmacy, and I am sad that she won't teach our class again. Dr. Lim is the best!”
“She is awesome. She is very organized in her lectures and makes the lectures fun and demonstrates things in class. Her exams and homework assignments are fair. She cares for her students by checking with us often and adjusting as needed. One of the best professors I've had so far.”
“Dr. Lim is an OUTSTANDING professor. She made pharmaceutics fun and every lecture was enjoyable while stimulating interest in the subject and pharmacy as a whole. I was truly excited to attend her lectures every day and can only hope she will teach us again in the future.”
Congratulations Dr. Lim on this well-deserved recognition!
