Students Win AAPS Best Abstract Awards
We are thrilled to share that Molecular Pharmaceutics Ph.D students Mazharul Karim (Taslim Al-Hilal Lab) and Tanya Chhibber (Hamid Ghandehari Lab) have been selected to receive the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) Best Abstract Award!
Maz’s abstract, titled "Stromal Fibrin Inhibition Shapes Immune Infiltration Landscape of Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma," and Tanya’s abstract, titled "Transdermal Delivery of Ultradeformable Cationic Liposomes Complexed with microRNA Prevents Transformation of Melanocytes to Melanoma," highlights their contributions to their projects here in the department. Tanya's project is in collaboration with Dr. Robert Judson-Torres' Lab at Huntsman Cancer Institute.
This recognition places their research among the top 10% of submissions, evaluated on the basis of data-driven conclusions, novelty, advancement of the field, and the suitability of the evaluation strategy.
Congratulations to Maz and Tanya, have a meaningful and fun time at AAPS here in Salt Lake City!
