Yingduo Yang Awarded Curci Fellowship
Congratulations to Molecular Pharmaceutics Ph.D. student Yingduo Yang (Kopeček Lab) for receiving the prestigious Shurl and Kay Curci Foundation Fellowship!
The Foundation partners with the University of Utah to support students pursuing Ph.D.s in life sciences, prioritizing two groups that have been historically overlooked for financial support: women and international students. The Curci Fellowship provides each recipient with two years of graduate school funding, including a stipend, graduate tuition, and health insurance. Their mission is to support science-based research that advances a healthy and sustainable future for humanity.
Yingduo earned his bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from China Pharmaceutical University and a master's degree in Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics from the University of Southern California. He joined Dr. Kopeček’s group as a researcher in 2024 and began his Ph.D. studies in 2025. His current research focuses on developing antibody polymer-drug conjugates (pADCs) for the treatment of hematologic malignancies, with a particular interest in improving their efficiency and efficacy. He is honored to receive this fellowship and grateful for the opportunity to further his research with the support of the Shurl and Kay Curci Foundation.
Congratulations, Yingduo!
