Congratulations to the authors and collaborators from the Al-Hilal Lab on their recent publication, Stromal Fibrin Shapes Immune Infiltration Landscape of Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma, in Biomaterials. This study explored how stromal crosslinked fibrin regulates immune cell infiltration in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Using bioengineered tumor models, orthotopic and xenograft mouse models, and spatial transcriptomics, researchers found that targeting fibrin cross-linking may help remodel the tumor stroma, enhancing immune accessibility and potentially improving immunotherapy outcomes. 

This work reflects a significant multi-institutional collaboration and marks a major contribution to the field of cancer immunology and biomaterials research. Congratulations again on this achievement!
