INSTRUCTIONS:

Tickets - Will be required to the ceremony at Kingsbury Hall, but they will not be limited per person. 

• Everyone needs a ticket for this event, including any guests, even children and babies in arms. Kingsbury is being very strict.  Tickets will not be replaced, and they must be picked up in the Dean’s Office and signed out.  You can ask anyone in the Dean’s Office and they can help you sign out the number of tickets you need. The good news is that there is no limit to the number of people who can attend. Tickets will be available for sign out starting Wednesday April 8th, 2026.

Parking: Will be available at the following locations: 

• NW Parking Garage (Lot 38), which is a short distance walk from the convocation venue.
• Naval Science Parking Lot (Lot 34), which is a short distance walk from the convocation venue.  
• Merrill Engineering Parking Lot (Lot 39) where a complimentary shuttle can be taken to the convocation venue.  

Metal Detector Screening: All guests will be walk-through metal detectors at all convocation and commencement events per university policy, at all university venues, at all doors. This is for the safety of guests and graduates. 

Prohibited Items: Key “to note/prohibited items” listed on the Convocation FAQ website. Strollers, large bags, umbrellas, noisemakers, confetti, outside food and drink, etc. will not be permitted in any university venues. 

Bags: No bags, purses or backpacks are allowed in Kingsbury Hall. Guests can bring a small clutch for privacy (no larger than 6.5″ x 4.5″). Diaper bags are permitted but are subject to search. Guests must have the infant(s) for which the bag is being carried present when the bag is searched. Bags for medical supplies are also permitted. Guests should communicate with security, who will tag and allow those bags.

Stroller Storage: Due to space limitations we will have a self-check stroller corral on the lawn and guests may leave strollers there at their own risk.

After Graduation: Immediately following the Graduation ceremony, please join us for a reception on the Presidents' Circle lawn just outside of the convocation venue. We will have light refreshments and treats, a photo booth, and opportunities to celebrate with the class of 2026 graduates and everyone who came to support them! The shuttle service to the Merrill Engineering Parking lot will remain available until the conclusion of the reception, for those who utilized the shuttle service. We look forward to celebrating this great achievement with all in attendance!
